We arrived for the last half hour of sunlight so shooting wasn’t the most ideal. Everything was rushrushrushrush, underexposed, or just very red. Despite lighting problems, it led to one of the most colorful displays in mountain hue. Brown, to purple, to red, to blue. And never before have I seen soooo many stars.
There’s a certain quiet that is really eerie. Upon arriving the only thing you can hear is the humming in your own ear. If you’ve never understood the phrase, “The silence is deafening,” you’ll understand it the second you step out of your car. Of course that all stops when you start a sand-valance, because then you just hear the mountain fart. >_>
